Stargazing with tea and cake!
Join us for a fun and informative evening with tea & cake and discover our dark sky. We meet once a month on Friday evenings from 7.30pm until late. Everyone is most welcome, from complete beginners to complete astronomical geniusis! We've got the perfect spot for stargazing. Our unique elevated location (approx 137 meters above sea level) in the middle of a field, provides excellent dark sky conditions, with minimum light pollution. On a clear night the Milky Way is clearly visible and even constellations in the lower sky.
With easy access and free parking. Our cozy tea room is a great place to chat and share information. We even have a slide projection screen, perfect for talks and presentations, as demonstrated above by Paul Money one of our regular speakers.
If you live too far away to come to our club, you'll find details of other star gazing locations and events around the Uk at Go Stargazing
Next meeting Friday 31st January 2020 - 7.30pm
We're delighted that Keith Townsend our Star Club President, will be joining us for our first meeting of the New Year, telling us what to look for in the night sky. We hope you can join us too. No need to book just turn up. Bring your binoculars, telescopes - if you have them and lots of layers, just incase it's a clear starry night. Our cosy tearoom will be open, where you can warm up with a hot drink and chat over yummy cake. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
